Portrait Collaboration: Kelly Harnisch

My good friend Maylynne just came home here in the Philippines for a 2 week vacation. She is from Virginia, and she is a Photographer. We have done many wonderful fun shoots together with some of our model friends. We decided to do another one while she’s in the country.

We invited Nestor Mapa of Toffee Knot Studio, he is another very talented photographer and videographer friend of ours to this shoot because Maylynne would also be model. We also invite Kelly Harnisch, another wonderful gal whose also in and out if the country and we were so lucky to have her in out shoot.

Kelly had a distinct Filipina-Latina kind of vibe, and I have been really loving her look. I wanted to simple create a sultry but still very clean look. So this was May 2017, so it was crazy humid and we were shooting this at our house. I had to make sure that her makeup stays in place for hours.

I used a flat iron to curl Kelly’s hair, applied some heat protectant spray, curled it and a light misting of hair spray. I parted her hair in the way she normally does it, so it looks laid back and relaxed.

The contour on her cheeks, I used the Light To Medium Contour Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I did not use any highlight on her face, I just wanted to keep it simple and clean. Cheeks, I also used a Mehron Cheek Powder Palette, I mixed Tropical and Rose Wood.

I mainly worked a look around her lip color, this is a lip color from the Mehron Lip Cream Palette – Night, and I used the shade Velvet Rose (103-VR). This lip cream is very smooth to apply, its not matte, just your regular silk finish lipstick.

For her eyes, I used the MAC Eyeshadow x 15 Palette (Warm Neutral) to create this sultry eye, together with my Jessup Eye Brush Set. For her brows, I used my every trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Brow Palette, with the shade Chocolate. For lashes, I applied falsies from Daiso. It is a japanese RTW and they have amazing lashes.

Of course you wanna know about the face makeup I used. I used the Loreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation with a wet blender sponge. And to really adhere to skin and prolong its wear, I used a Max Factor Face Finity All Day Primer. For Powder I used Beauskin Pure Natural Perfect Face Powder in No. 23. It has a translucent and sheer matte cover.  This powder is a huge favorite of mine because it absorbs all, and whatever foundation type I use, it reacts really well.

I hope you liked Kelly’s Makeup Look, because I really enjoyed my time shooting with my crazy talented friends!
